American Lt. Col arrested in Indonesia

Foreign plane wandering into Indonesian airspace intercepted

He claimed to be on leave, but has no valid excuse for flying in that area without squawk or any other identification on his aircraft.
He also claims to be a US navy pilot, so has no excuse for not knowing the general rules regarding International airspace.

Was he just stupid, or was he up to something?
