A lot of similarities I agree. The Seminole wars here in Florida also have a lot of similarities in the Federal governments military strategy.

no--not really
--the Americans/rebels WERE the colonizers---the Vietnamese were natives
-the climate/terrain of Vietnam is much different than the American climate
---a lot of Revolutionary War battles were fought in ''open' terrain
-the Rebels had a big Navy helping them, [ Yorktown ] the Vietnamese did not
...what is the same is, yes, the Americans not have to win in the Revolutionary War--just like the North Vietnamese did not have to win
not much snow in Vietnam

You are confused about this Moon Bat. if I remember correctly you have always been confused.

You stupid uneducated Moon Bats don't know any more about History than you know about Economics, Biology, Climate Science, Ethics or the Constitution.

The US defeated the Brits militarily. The fact that the British military was stretched thin elsewhere was a factor but we kicked their ass.

The US won militarily in Vietnam. We forced the fucking Communists to agree to the sovereignty of South Vietnam after Nixon kicked their ass. That was always the US mission in Vietnam. The filthy Communists prevailed because the goddamn Democrats, aided by a few weak minded Republicans, defunded South Vietnam giving the green light for Russia/China backed North Vietnam to invade. Undoing the victory. That was a political victory, not a military victory.

I have explained this to you other times but you are a fucking idiot that is incapable of understanding history. Either that or a fucking troll just trying to a rise out of the people that do understand history.

Go read a History book Moon Bat. Your ignorance is embarrassing.

Wow, maybe the worse analogy of all time.

a·nal·o·gy

a comparison between two things, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification.
"an analogy between the workings of nature and those of human societies"
a correspondence or partial similarity.

a thing which is comparable to something else in significant respects.
"works of art were seen as an analogy for works of nature"

How so?

Sounds stupid to me. Comparing anything and everything to the Vietnam War.

LBJ's 1965 escalation beat the VC as a force in 1968, Nixon's Cambodian ops and bombing campaign brought the Commies to the peace table. In 1975, while the North was still receiving foreign aid , the U.S. abandoned the South. It's not rocket science to note how the North 'won'. I still thin some American generals needed to be shot for lying to their Commander in Chiefs over those years, which is the real source of the left wing media propaganda campaign and their distortions that makes a lot of morons think we lost militarily.

Is this for a research project? Britain wanted America for land and colonization. America fought in Vietnam to piss off the Soviet Union.

What you have just posted is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board will be dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Pat's Azog's hand gently.

Vietnam was a French colony for a 100 years.
AND most colonies were colonized by super powers
the French colonizing Vietnam does not equate with America's war there .....it led up to it, but doesn't equate with it
