The years of an average life span is affected by the immigration of the diseased, the gang murders and the massive number of overdose deaths. Alone, drug deaths account for average of 300 a day, every day. If law abiding, white people all lived to 125 this country would still have life expectancy skewed downward.

To improve our medical care, we would have to triage. No care to drug addicts, gang members, perverts. Let them go peacefully.

The problem with todays democrats is the majority are ruled by the rich and don't want to enforce our anti-trust laws and regulations within a way that benefits us little people. You wouldn't want that. Doctors would become government employees. Doctors won't be home government slaves
Right now we have heavy government involvement. If government got out healthcare could only charge what PEOPLE can afford.

Obamacare gave more people access to the healthcare system.

The downside? More people & more demand means that the system has to adapt to it, and a for-profit system adapted to become less personable. The relationship between doctor and patient is dead; it's a relationship between a physician's assistant/nurses and the patient.

IDK more demand also means longer waits in the ER. In our area so few providers will take medicaid that the ER becomes their primary care physician. I talked to a man a few months ago whose wife died in the chairs after an 8.5 wait in the ER. She was a black woman suffering from bad stomach pain and she just got triaged down until she suddenly coded. I am told that can be a sign of a impending heart attack in women.

I suspect you are like me, in a small city for a long time, always had good insurance, and probably have a friendly relationship, not just a patient relationship with the medical people you see and have seen for many years, so if you need to get in, you can get in, without having to go to strangers, except for specialist they recommend and set up if needed.
Not being in a major city, Obama Care has not loaded up the practice I go to, with people that used to just wait to get sick and then go to the ER or some convenient care facility. I have heard, but not seen. The only time my medical care was processed like meat was in the Army.

Yep same PCP for nearly 30 years. He's in a clinic that's separate from the main hospital that's never crowded.
