First, at that price you'd think they could manage a drainage ditch or two.

Second, this is just a thunderstorm. What happens when the next hurricane hits? Which is, BTW, likely to be a surprise because of what they are doing to NOAA.

And then there's the name, "alligator alcatraz". It just tells everyone that the US is being run by malignant children who's idea of fun is to burn ants with a magnifying glass.

As I mentioned in another topic, those tents and trailers won't survive a hurricane.

Then Florida will have a few thousand escapees on their hands.

What's more, Florida is the site of 80 percent of the thunderstorms in the US.

I'm as anti-Trump as any other patriotic American with half a brain...

But really?

They are tents, water leaking under the edge of the tent isn't "flooding".

They don't need to survive a hurricane. They will be moved. That's sorta the point with trucks. They have wheels and engines. They don't have to stay in the path of any hurricane.

And where will they relocate 3000 detainees?

Isn't the whole point of the existence of the tent city because everywhere else is full?

You mean they will have pools! They are spoiled.

Where is the trench around the tent?

Oh, man.

That's inhuman!

You don't think any illegal aliens will just go home to avoid being sent to such a horrible place, do you?

That would be terrible!

Hurricane season has just begun, and the worst hurricanes occur from mid-August through October.

If this tent city can't hold up under a thunderstorm, it's doomed if and when a hurricane hits.

They should maybe relocate to Nevada and put the detainees to work polishing solar panels.

Oh, wait. Trump hates solar panels...

??? You were bitching about the use of tents to detain illegals as not meeting code. Tents have been used to detain illegals for decades.
No, not in Hurricane Alley they haven't. Three hurricanes hit Florida in 2024.
