On Sunday Tony Blinken said he was working to get Polish MIG-29s to Ukraine for US F-16s.

The Pols said, fine, and now the Pentagon is saying "no" to the deal, WTF?

From what I've heard (not being an expert), the electronics on MiG29s are terrible. Why would you want to supply F-16s for MiGs in questionable states of repair.

If those Migs have to base and fly out of NATO countries...it's a non-starter. It might as well be NATO attacking

The question is...can they base and be supported in Ukraine?

1. Because MIG-29s are what the Ukrainians know how to fly, and what they want.
2. Its in lieu of a NATO "no fly" zone
3. It upgrades the Pole's air force with US planes (good for NATO)
4. Biden needs to make the deal happen.
