1 million Americans were killed by Trump's inability to correctly manage COVID. Every other nation on earth did better than America. We had the most deaths and infections on earth. The right want to talk about illegals killing people, but the most murders are committed by legal American-born citizens.

There were a series of studies done based on immigration in the State of Texas from the years 2012 to 2018. Every study reached the same conclusion. Undocumented immigrants are not the greatest threat of crime in this country.

"The study found that undocumented immigrants are arrested at less than half the rate of native-born U.S. citizens for violent and drug crimes and a quarter the rate of native-born citizens for property crimes."

National Institue of Justice, Undocumented Immigrant Offending Rate Lower Than U.S.-Born Citizen Rate, September 12, 2024, https://docs.house.gov/meetings/JU/JU01/20250122/117827/HHRG-119-JU01-20250122-SD004.pdf

They try blaming Democrats for the border, but there are two things wrong with their accusations.

“In fiscal year 2017, the last year of the Obama administration and the first of Trump’s, 303,916 migrants were arrested by the Border Patrol. This was the lowest level in more than three decades. The Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations had worked hard to tackle the problem of illegal migration through substantial increases in border security staffing, improvements in technology, innovations in strategy and improved security coordination and assistance to Mexico. Coupled with improved economic conditions in Mexico, these administrations were hugely successful in deterring and breaking the cycle of illegal crossing: Unlawful Mexican economic immigration, which had historically been the primary immigration enforcement issue at the border, dropped nearly 90 percent between 2000 and 2016.”

So how did border crossings go from a 40-year low to a crisis in 4 years? An article was published in Politico on April 5, 2019 titled: Yes, There’s a Crisis on the Border. And It’s Trump’s Fault. In this article, the authors argue that President Trump's singular focus on constructing a border wall—regarded as a vanity project—rather than addressing and reforming the asylum system contributed to the challenges at the border witnessed during President Biden's term.

“Despite the administration’s attempts to shift blame for the chaos, make no mistake: It is Donald Trump himself who is responsible. Through misguided policies, political stunts and a failure of leadership, the president has created the conditions that allowed the asylum problem at the border to explode into a crisis. The solution to our current border troubles lies in reforming the U.S. asylum system and immigration courts and helping Central America address its challenges—not in a “big beautiful” wall or shutting down the border. Yet effective action on these issues has been missing. And the president has now so poisoned the political well with his approach that there is little hope of meaningful congressional action until after the next election. Unless the administration changes course, the immigration crisis will only continue to worsen.”

These words were written nearly 2 years before Biden was sworn into office on January 20th, 2021.

Trump sabotaged a strong bipartisan immigration bill worked on by Republican James Lankford and Kyrsten Sinema. Then he blamed Harris for the problems during his campaign.

He and the MAGA Republicans created a false narrative about the immigration bill. Trump made this statement proving that he can't read: “Only a fool, or a Radical Left Democrat, would vote for this horrendous Border Bill, which only gives Shutdown Authority after 5000 Encounters a day.” The problem with Trump opinion was that the bill detained, screened, and then deported the first 5,000. If there were more than 5,000, then all illegals were detained and deported. The bill also gave “discretionary activation” to Homeland Security if there was an average of 4,000 per day over a 7-day period. If we put that in perspective, border encounters reached the 4,000 average in 2019 during the Trump administration.

My apologies for the length of this post.

Duly noted that you don't care about Americans.

I keep watching this invasion by ICE and they look more and more like a mob of thugs. Not an ounce of integrity and professionalism among them. Where did trump get all these new hires ( 12,000 of them ) are they all Jan 6th. Militia rejects. I hope not , that would be a colassal mistake. Adding to the problem
Not solving anything as you said creating a disaster.

To the left and IM2, the good guys are the criminals and the victims are the bad guys for snitching that they were victims of the left's policies.

Who they defend.

He lost his life in a head-on crash in Missouri caused by an illegal immigrant.

There are casualties on all sides of this situation. Trump's tactics are causing more deaths. Here in Nebraska 4 more criminal immigrants were arrested at the courthouse in Omaha today. They did it correctly. No one was endangered. trump is wrong to send an invasion force into any US city. It's illegal and unwarranted. As well as dangerous to all concerned.

That's the way the disease process goes if poorly managed to begin with. trump.onlybhad the begining of it and he blew managing that. Remember trump blocked Biden's access to the white House for almost 3 months. That set him back at a critical time in dealing with the pandemic. The rest is history.

I know we're a dictatorship and potus run states like u guys say, governors free of responsibility.

All Trump has ever done is create huge problems where none existed, then blame others for the mess that he made. Now he is killing American citizens because of another mess he created.

Where none existed?? LOL

I know we're a dictatorship and potus run states like u guys say, governors free of responsibility.

Why did Biden remove restrictions when there were twice the cases as a year earlier under Trump, damage already done?
Restrictions are imposed and lifted depending on the data. And yes the initial damage was already done on several levels.

Hopefully none of them are gung ho military. That's the last thing we need in our cities more importantly if any of them are the
Militia thug rejects that participated in Jan 6th. That trump pardoned these crazy criminals.that's a lawsuit in the making. They already proved themselves totally unfit for any law enforcement position. Criminals one and all.

Well isn't that special. I guess the fact more cases under Biden was just a statistical inconvenience

1 million Americans were killed by Trump's inability to correctly manage COVID. Every other nation on earth did better than America. We had the most deaths and infections on earth. The right want to talk about illegals killing people, but the most murders are committed by legal American-born citizens.
