Alex Pretti was ‘known’ to feds, and had rib broken in anti-ICE protest a week before he was killed by Border Patrol

Well, no surprise.

He was fully in swoon over this type of activity.

Alex Pretti was known to the feds and suffered a broken rib in a violent confrontation with agents a week before Border Patrol officers killed him in Minneapolis, according to a report.
Pretti, an ICU nurse, told a pal he saw ICE agents chasing what he described as a family on foot, and stopped his car during the earlier incident around a week before he was shot last Saturday, CNN reported.
He said he pulled over in his car and began shouting and blowing on a whistle, at which point he was tackled by five agents, the source said.

He should have learned his lesson.

Dealing with these guys isn't like dealing with locals.

Not with the video showing hand over head. Don't forget, he was disarmed while held down, prior to the 3 shots in the back.
You know? I don’t recall seeing any pat-down frisk or search of his person. But they DID already know he had had at least one weapon.

Therefore. what did they not know? Whether or not he had a second gun or other weapon.

Details are emerging. The ex wife is Rachel Canoun. The sister is Micayla.

The ex wife says Pretti participated in the George Floyd riots... erm... protests.

I can only find one Rachel Canoun in all of the US. She's a patent attorney in the San Diego area. Nice looking woman. Not sure if it's her, but she's about the right age.

So, 5 other border patrol agents, and already jumped him a week before, breaking a rib, for blowing a whistle, but no arrest or charges, eh? It looks like nobody present the day of the shooting knew Petty from Adam's off ox.
Mmmm explains the motive for arming himself with a 9 and forty rounds and jumping into the middle of an arrest

Clearly he was out for revenge

For the second gun defense to be used there has to be furtive movement to draw the gun. It never occurred because there was no second gun.

Yes, I suspect in taking him down, hands above head, jacked rose up, and it became visible. When cops see weapon on subject being taken down, two things happen almost simultaneous, especially in multiple officer involved take down. Immediate securing of the weapon and announcement like "Gun, Gun, Gun". If the timing is off, the weapon could be secured already, as "Gun, Gun, Gun" is announced. How and how quick other officers respond can get tricky, and an officer not knowing the guy is secured, and not having total situational awareness can simply **** up, panic, and start blasting away, gunshots begetting gunshots and a needless execution in the street ensue. Would that scenario be Murder? No. Manslaughter? Definitely. Undefendable liability for Officer and organization responsible? Yes. Big time. When you wear the badge, any badge, you simply do not have the luxury of panic, as it gets people killed, and you are supposedly trained, but levels of training and discipline vary, but the standard for maintain control with panic action does not. I lean toward this, far more than some psycho idiot, deciding to execute as an example of power achieved and power perceived as a message. But, cannot rule it out.

ICE Officers across the country are pissed, at the chaos and unprofessionalism.

No. Simply having a carry permit, implies he carries.

I'm starting to get a vibe that the technocrats that have ingratiated themselves to the administration are already using this tech.

The death of the Pretti guy seemed very suspect.

Why would they act so aggressively on a guy that did not seem to be a threat. . . AT THAT MOMENT?

. . . and then, a day ago I found out some more disturbing new about the history of this guy. . . . and that is just the data point they are letting the public know about.

Palantir faces criticism over tool used by ICE to track individuals for potential deportation

What if Palantir is not only gathering data on illegals, but also tracking some of the folks in that ICE WATCH organization? Might it be possible that the machine had warned them that this guy was a high threat to officers?

:tinfoil:

I know in some European nations, the security establishment is just admitting that they are going to start using this tool.

. . . but in America, it seems like there are serious constitutional issues with this tech. So would they even tell us if they started using it?

Might it be, that Pretti is the first American to be a casualty of this technology?

What is the point of preferring charges in commie Minnesota when the judges will just let them go?
