Because Baldwin is a celebrity, he had the resources to hire the best attorneys to argue his case, to look for the things that the prosecution messed up, and so on.


The problem with the case against Baldwin and Guiterrez (who will hopefully have her case reviewed) is the prosecutors never bothered to find out how live rounds got into a set.

In fact, they actively hid evidence and this wasn't the first time.

Geez, so much hate for an actor that the subject has to be resurrected?
It was a movie set. He was playing a character in a story. There are props and scenery in such situations. If a light fell on someone and killed the person, actors would not be held responsible. It isn't their job. Just because you dislike the actor's politics doesn't change the situation.

As was always clear, this never made it past a judge.
