AIPAC rebukes Trump for anti-Obama comments

The president of the pro-Israel lobbying group AIPAC rebuked of Donald Trump on Tuesday, scolding him for his harsh comments about President Obama.

“Last evening something occurred which has the potential to drive us apart, to divide us,” AIPAC President Lillian Pinkus said during the final day of the organization’s annual policy conference in Washington. “We say, unequivocally, that we do not countenance ad hominem attacks and we take great offense against those that are levied against the president of the United States of America from our stage.”

It's like the last election. Republicans hate the first black president so much, they just assumed everyone did. But look who has been better for the country, Bush or Obama? Everything Bush touched he ruined or damaged.
Obama has done pretty good considering anti America Republicans have tried to block him on everything.

Except, Brainchild, I watch the speech and when he made his anti-obama AND anti-Hillary comments he got the loudest cheers. Sorry if it hurt the obama lover's feelings but he must still be licking his wounds.

The president rebuked but the AIPAC members agreed with Trump with great enthusiasm.

An "ad hominem" attack is one that attacks the subject's character or characteristics, rather than the substance of his (the subject's) positions. For example, calling Mr. Trump a "racist" rather than addressing the reasons why he wants to take American immigration laws seriously is a profoundly ad hominem attack.

NOTHING IN TRUMP's speech, and in particular nothing in what he alluded to w/r/t Our Beloved President was ad hominem in nature. He disagreed with the policies, actions, and failures to act of the Obama Administration. Nothing personal about it.

Ironically, this attack on Trump - claiming that he made ad hominem remarks about the President - is in itself an ad hominem attack on Trump. And a specious one, to boot.

About what one would expect from a leftist Jewish "spokesperson."

Trump is the master of the ad hominem.

70% of Jewish-Americans voted for Obama, who we keep being told is the anti-Israel guy.

Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is rarely if ever called any such thing. Wonder what her percentage of the J-A vote will be?

WTF? The same ones supporting the senate act like children, too.
This is why these dumbfucks are losing. They think everyone is stupid like the OP!

Trump can hide envelopes of $100 bills under peoples seats and someone will find something wrong with what he did. Who cares anymore? It's common place that anything and everything Trump does/says will be an issue with someone some where.

These "news" stories become more and more desperate and pathetic

Perfect example can be seen here >>> Trump Hit on a Woman Yesterday?

I saw the cheering and standing ovations and the AIPAC spokesgirl 'lily pincus' just did / said what she had to do to keep her paychecks and benefits flowing RDean !!

Let em. It only helps.
This is 08' Obama x 2

"Anti Obama comments"? Democrats "blamed Bush" for eight freaking years. Is it possible that the mainstream media has it rigged so that a republican can't make comments critical of the previous administration?

That is her opinion, and the statement was not released as an official statement by AIPAC. So, you squeeze a libtard and what do you get other than bullshit? The applause of the AIPAC crowd to Trumps speech speaks for itself, and only an idiot or a liberal could imagine that this bimbo represents all AIPAC.

But from your article some statements seem explicative:
The comments were a clear shot at Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, who appeared on the same stage barely more than 12 hours before....

So this woman gives her opinion and the reporter just assumes it is a rebuke of Trump.

Yet Trump still threw multiple shots at Obama, apparently inspiring AIPAC’s admonition Tuesday morning....
The comments — and the reaction to them — threatened to undercut AIPAC's position as a nonpartisan group.

And yet Hillary threw shots at Trump and that does not threaten to undercut AIPACS position as a nonpartisan group?

This is the kind of two faced horse shit we can expect from the political establishment. Methinks AIPAC will have a new President by March of 2017.

Lol, the left hires paid shills to say crazy shit about Trump and swoon over Hillary like she was another Beatle Invasion and then morons like this present it as evidence that Hillary must be more friendly toward Israel and Jews.

The left has gone into Permanent Revolution mode, where no one who opposes them can be assessed fairly, nor anyone who defends the USA and Western Civilization.

This is a precursor to their beginning of violent revolution and we have plenty of Central American examples of how this crap evolves. A president Trump will be hammered, lied about and villified as if he were another Somoza. Bank on it.
