There's always potential fallout when you make crude public comments, and employers have a right to disassociate themselves from an employee that has brought negative attention to their business or establishment.
Live by social media, die by social media.

Following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk this week, educators across the country have found themselves facing swift termination or potential discipline after allegedly sharing opinions on social media about the killing.

At least a dozen faculty and staff, from school board officials to classroom teachers, have been met with fallout over insensitive posts about Kirk’s death. In at least two instances, universities fired staff members entirely for posts deemed inappropriate.

Cancel culture by the usual suspects and the OP is cheering it on, just as expected.
You had no trouble with Twitter censoring grieving widows or mothers after they lost a loved one after they were forced to get the Covid shot that ended up costing them their life, only then to be labeled an anti-science loon or a liar.

Get bent.

disgusting buy why can't they argue it's their right under the 1st? even hate speech is protected here unlike the UK and the EU, now that has zero do do with where you work though, plenty of evidence of that somebody makes a horrible tweet and get fired

could they try and challenge? probably

Nobody hates free speech more than overly sensitive conservatives :dunno:

What I would like to know if is anything was done about the doctor that is addressed here. I am guessing that the nurse was reprimanded for addressing on Instagram what he had to say, but to me, the big question is was he punished at all for his frame of mind?

God bless you and the nurse always!!!

Just remember kids, if you're in a position of power, like a teacher, and you say something wrong on social media, you'll lose your job.

Unless of course you're a POLITICIAN. Apparently politicians have no ******* standards to uphold, you can do and say whatever you like and hide behind freedom of speech, while the rest of the country actually has to live in the real world.

Really, you're only stupid for actually going on social media with your real name, but the politicians, they're just assholes.

Elections have consequences. One of their own said that once, like an arrogant prick. What goes around comes around.

Thanks I've had him blocked for years so I didn't know
Me too. He was a mod and wanted to block him because he was awful, then he wasn't anymore, and he was still awful, but on my ignore list, but I can see who gives likes and dislikes.
