The war in Afghanistan is a representation of just how dysfunctional the US Federal government has become. Estimates say that the US has spent trillions on a war costing thousands of American lives, and more to die after Biden withdraws. And at the end of the day, it accomplished virtually nothing.

Who ran the war? The cream of the crop at the highest of political levels of government. These were your experts. These were the people who talked down to anyone who might challenge them as to whether or not they knew what they were doing.

But we see this every day in government, only, it is odd that after 20 years of policy that accomplishes nothing but death and financial ruin actually comes to an end. Usually it goes on in perpetuity like the war on poverty in the US.

And both parties had their hands all in it. Talk about working across the isle, both parties certainly did and with a smile on their faces.

But only if Biden would bug out of Washington DC and leave the country along with his no nothing political elite like he did in Afghanistan. The country would give anything for that.

But alas, the country is stuck with them. No amount of voting will remove them as they have a stranglehold on power.

All we can do now is sit back and watch as the US becomes Afghanistan. The US violent inner cites are already there.

Democrat rule on display in several blue cities and now on the national level for all to hopefully learn from it....dems are ashamed of America and so that's the way they govern....

It's actually a representation of how the US government works. Remember, this was George W. Bushs' and Dick Cheney's war. Their buddies in the fossil fuel, and weapons manufacturing industries are the ones that got most of that money.

And I'll give you 3 guesses, who got kick backs, and campaign contributions from those industries over the last 20 years.

First two don't count.

And it only cost the lives of 2448 young soldiers and Marines. With 20,000 or so wounded.

A good deal in their eyes.

You can't put a senile leader in office that has a cabinet surrounding him that's ashamed of your country....by definition it will not work out well for you if you do since you have no control over what that senile leader and his people are ashamed of....

Personally, I don't know of any islands that the parties influence.

Come on people! The word is "aisle"!

Nothing but speculation and conjecture! Bravo, dumbass!

I'll give you a few minutes to look up those words so you might understand them.

Now, the abhorrent regime whitewashes the truth. The current regime is a threat to the US.
