In a Republic, actually
‘Republicans are using the identity of the Covenant School shooter to spout transphobic rhetoric in the wake of the tragedy that killed seven people, including the suspect. Nashville Police Chief John Drake told reporters that the person responsible for the mass shooting identified as transgender.

Lawmakers like Marjorie Taylor Greene falsely connected the shooter’s gender identity with a motive for the shooting. Police say they do not have a definitive motive, however. “Everyone can stop blaming guns now,” wrote the Georgia Republican on Twitter. “How much hormones like testosterone and medications for mental illness was the transgender Nashville school shooter taking?”

[…]

“Unfortunately, I think that we are living in a time where trans people are constantly under attack,” said Raquel Willis, a transgender activist. “So that information being lifted from the story is being used for this sprawling agenda to curtail and restrict the rights of people in the margins, particularly transgender people.”’

Concern about violence against transgender Americans is more than justified.

The problem is they are trespassing on sacred anti 2A grounds...these events are expressly meant to espouse anti-gun rhetoric and point the finger at folks [ e.g. NRA] who are never involved in this sort of thing while providing cover for and ignoring the perps as the real problem.

are you scared jones?.....

What they apparently don't seem to get is that any frame of mind about any subject can inspire violence against any group of people. Once it is known where a group of people stand on any matter, anyone who disagrees with the groups frame of mind could then do anything in return towards them.

God bless you always!!!

If the right were driven to real violence, twaddling pencil-necked fucks like you would know about it.

Here are examples of rightwing bigotry and hate directed at transgender Americans by USMB conservatives:

The Nashville shooting is about to disappear now that we know the shooter identified as trans
