No, that just isn't true. Nobody but a few parents got their kids out. All the rest were locked down.

I've read several reports they were escorting students out while waiting on the tac officers to arrive. Even the that guy Carranza who was complaining said they were. One report:

This one says he was barricaded in and they were waiting on a tac team to breach the door, meanwhile they were escorting students and evacuating the rest of the building. The nearest tac team was the Border Patrol, and they went right in when they arrived. Other reports say the same thing. As somebody already pointed out, the guy wasn't shooting for the whole hour.

are you crazy? The great majority of teachers do not have the mental, emotional, or physical abilities to do such a thing in any case. Most would flat out refuse. The small number who would be willing and are also able would certainly not cover every public school in the entire nation. Don’t be emotional, be rational.

For the record, I did ask for psychological evaluations. A 135lb woman with sufficient knowledge and training would not succumb to the rigors of such an intense situation.
