Guns can possibly kill people because that's what some of them were designed to do. And if they failed at what they were intended to do, far more people would have died throughout history.

But no gun ever manufactured by mankind has ever had a murderous intent. Without the idiot with the finger and blood in their eyes, a gun is just an inanimate object with no intent of its own. You could set one on a table for 10,000 years and it would never shoot anyone by itself.

But, Murder is different than KILL.

You can shoot at an animal with the purpose to kill, but it's not murder.
You can shoot in self defense with the purpose of defense, and it is subjective.
You can shoot at an individual with the intent to kill, and it is murder.

All of the above involves guns.

1). Hunt
2). Protect
3). Kill
4). Add to a collection
5). Serve as a Military Weapon
