Acting US Attorney for SDNY Abruptly Resigns

13 Feb 2025 ~~ By Cristina Laila

Acting US Attorney for the SDNY Danielle Sassoon abruptly resigned on Thursday, just a few days after she was ordered to drop charges against NYC Mayor Eric Adams.
On Monday, the Trump Justice Department moved to drop federal charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
“You are directed to dismiss” the case against Adams,” Emil Bove, Trump’s Acting Deputy Attorney General, wrote in a letter to the US Attorney’s Office in Manhattan, according to The New York Times.
Adams was recently indicted on charges including wire fraud, bribery and conspiracy out of the Southern District of New York, becoming the first sitting New York City mayor to face criminal prosecution.
Charges include conspiracy theory, wire fraud, bribery, and solicitation of a contribution by a foreign national. Read the indictment.

Danielle Sassoon resigned shortly after she was ordered to drop charges against Eric Adams, although she did not mention a reason in her statement.

Commentary:
What was not mentioned was the note to Sassoon, telling her to comply with the order or clean out he desk...
It was not a voluntary resignation. She was directed to stop the Eric Adams care that was launched when he spoke out against the Biden/Kamala open border.
She refused and responded with and assaholic lecture that there was no basis to drop charges, her prosecutors agreed with her, and that if Trump wants to end the case, he can pardon him. She took no action to end the case, as ordered.
Danielle Sassoon resigned because AG Pam Bondi is laser-focused, locked, and loaded on going after the Deep State 2nd HQ NY!
Pass the popcorn. AG Pam Bondi did not smile during the brief yesterday!
She was notified that “Your resignation is accepted”, referring to her insubordination and refusal to follow orders from the President, relayed by the Deputy AG.
Now maybe Eric Adams can be his own man and not kowtow to the Neo-Marxist Democrats that control New York from Albany.

She was told to dismiss the corruption cases against Adams. And Aams is not his own man, he is now a slave for trump.
~~~~~~~
Was Adams better off being "a slave of the Democrats"?
Obviously not, because when he balked at Democrat demands he was lawfared and persecuted by those he was supposedly beholden to?
One less government lawyer. Where is the downside that in any situation?
I don’t know why it is considered important to dismiss the case against Adams. But I do know that the subordinate Acting US Attorney s bound to obey her superiors.
And many care for Adams. But that doesn’t mean the case was justified.
Adams was never a slave for Democrats. But in this instance you stupid mf, Adams must do what trump tells him or the cases will be re-opened. The mf broke the law. There was no lawfare. Nobody black is beholden to the democratic party you dumb racist sob. Just because we don't vote for Republican racism doesn't mean we are slaves for anybody. Do you understand, white man?
Yeah, right. There is nothing new under the sun white man, s stop lying about how things have changed so much. Your ass is spewing the same racist bullshit I heard in the 1960s when I was a kid. But you think you can tell us that just because a piece of paper was signed everything changed.
This attorney was a Republican who clerked for Scalia. A conservative.
