The word treason gets overused. What the Obama team did amounts to gross abuse of power at best, and criminal misconduct most likely going all the way up to Comey, Brennan and Stzrok and others....Durham will let us know the details before long.
I'll agree that
“treason” is a term that gets overused, where it is not appropriate.
Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution strictly and narrowly defines treason.
Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.
Now, here's a reality. The United states is, and has been for quite some time, subject to a hostile foreign invasion across our southern border. This invasion constitutes an ongoing act of war against the United States, albeit a disorganized and disorderly act of war. Those who are participating in this invasion are enemies of the United States, exactly as referenced in
III/3.
As President, Obama used the power of his office to give aid and comfort to these enemies, and to aid and abet them in their invasion of our country. Many prominent Democraps in other positions of public office have done likewise. In fact, this
treason is explicitly written in the official Democrapic party platform.
