Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes offered no details about the victims but said other people were wounded at Abundant Life Christian School, a K-12 school with about 390 students. Police previously said a total of five people had died but corrected the statement.

Barnes said the suspected shooter was a student who likely died by suicide.

“They found the person responsible who was down, deceased,” the chief said.

pknopp I remember the cops on my campus... one dressed in a suit and his deputy's were in uniform... they were cool and they were not there to bust kids for pot or smoking or even truancy... they were there to keep the kids and the faculty safe from things like this...
Of course after I graduated CA removed all security form their schools... the rest of the nation followed suit and the carnage began...

They were not rent a cops they were trained SDPD retired police officers and absolutely yes they were devoted to the protection of the kids.... the lead officer was a former SDPD detective....

It is much more difficult for smaller / poorer school districts though. I think the law came into being after Uvalde.
