Everyone on the left have proven themselves to be untrustworthy. I suppose to you, only Republicans are untrustworthy, yet you don't like it when it is applied to you.
Why don't you ask Musk if the funding wasn't an issue?
There was no interruption as far as Musk is concerned. The funding was restored by the waiver issued by Trump. That's all Musk and DOGE control. They do not control US Aid and their contractors. So if US Aid dismantled their contractors and their contractors refused to go back to work because they did not want to accept the funding, that is not in his control.

Your inability to discern people who know what theyâre talking about from people who are âjust saying shitâ is a problem. Very common problem on the right.
âThe full spectrum â the investments in disease surveillance, the investments in what we mobilize ⌠moving commodities, supporting lab workers â that capacity is now a tenth of what it was,â Bouri said.
Other current and former USAID officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal operations, agreed with Bouriâs assessment.
âThere was a waiver for Ebola, but USAID funds have never been back online,â said a current official. âUSAID has been frozen: \staff and money.â
âIf there was a need to respond to Ebola, it would be a disaster assistance response team, or DART,â said one former official. âThere is no longer a capability to send a DART or support one from Washington. Many of those people are contractors who were let go at the very beginning.â
Elon Musk on Wednesday acknowledged that the U.S. DOGE Service âaccidentally canceledâ efforts by the U.S. Agency for International Development to prevent the spread of Ebola â but the billionaire entrepreneur insisted that the initiative was quickly restored.
âWe will make mistakes. We wonât be perfect. But when we make a mistake, weâll fix it very quickly,â Musk said at a meeting of President Donald Trumpâs Cabinet officials, defending his groupâs fast-moving approach to canceling federal programs in a bid for cost savings. âSo we restored the Ebola prevention immediately. And there was no interruption.â
Yet current and former USAID officials said that Musk was wrong: USAIDâs Ebola prevention efforts have been largely halted since Musk and his DOGE allies moved last month to gut the global-assistance agency and freeze its outgoing payments, they said. The teams and contractors that would be deployed to fight an Ebola outbreak have been dismantled, they added. While the Trump administration issued a waiver to allow USAID to respond to an Ebola outbreak in Uganda last month, partner organizations were not promptly paid for their work, and USAIDâs own efforts were sharply curtailed compared to past efforts to fight Ebola outbreaks.
Lie #2 came from RFK Jr. He said the 20 patients hospitalized with the measles, while downplaying the outbreak as routine, were there for the purposes of being quarantined.
First measles death reported in Texas as Kennedy downplays the outbreak
Dr. Lara Johnson, a pediatrician and the chief medical officer at Covenant Childrenâs Hospital in Lubbock, said during a news conference Wednesday afternoon that the patients who were hospitalized were admitted because they were having trouble breathing and needed supportive care such as supplemental oxygen.
"We donât hospitalize patients for quarantine purposes," Johnson said.
She added that her team has cared for âaround 20â kids with measles so far. Several of those patients required intensive care. None of the hospitalized had been vaccinated against measles.
At least 124 people have been infected in the fast-spreading outbreak. Health and Human Services secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said, âwe have measles outbreaks every year.â

It should be noted that as a special government employee, Musk has no authority to issue directives. He is not only limited to being only in an advisory role, on top of that........."criminal law prevents SGEs (as well as federal workers) from participating in any government matter that could impact their finances. When a conflict arises, SGEs can either recuse themselves from the matter or divest from the relevant financial interest."
My guess is the lies won't matter until they do. Until RFK and Musk's incompetence break through the onslaught of reporting on the constant chaos being created by this admin every single day. So much so as to render the HHS secretary and co-prez SGE being terrible at their jobs a fact trump supporters just don't give a damn about.

trumpworld has created a construct only allowing what they want to believe to be accepted as truth. Everything else is simply dismissed. It's the definition of brainwashing.
Elon Musk and Republicans in support of his DOGE efforts have repeatedly made false claims about government spending.

The president, with billionaire Elon Musk at his side, asserted that Muskâs U.S. DOGE Service had already identified âtens of billionsâ of âwaste, fraud and abuse.â He suggested it could be as much as $500 billion and âwhen you get down to it, itâs going to be probably close to a trillion dollars. It could be close to a trillion dollars that weâre going to find.â
The presidentâs numbers do not come anywhere close to matching figures posted on the DOGE account on X, Muskâs social media site. (DOGE stands for Department of Government Efficiency, though it is not a Cabinet-level agency.) We added up all the figures posted, taking most of them at face value, though virtually no documentation was presented. The numbers add up to about $6 billion a year, though $4 billion comes from a proposed cap on National Institutes of Health research overhead payments to universities, medical centers and other grant recipients. A judge has blocked that for now.

The factual record. Like the examples I gave. RFK lied when he said those 20 patients are being quarantined. Musk lied when he said Ebola prevention aid was uninterrupted. Those are the facts.

Interesting that so many in politics, the media and the country at large are more upset with the man finding the waste, fraud and abuse in these agencies than the waste, fraud and abuse itâs self. The reactions show who is actually concerned about it and who just gives it lip service when itâs politically convenient for them to do so.
