Trump's current FBI director Kesh Patel testified to Congress that 274 FBI agents RESPONDED to the attack on the Capitol. They were not there to initiate it and that the claim is nothing more than a baseless conspiracy theory.

They didn't make it illegal. They limited the scope to apply to those who "impaired the availability or integrity for use in an official proceeding of records, documents, objects, or other things used in an official proceeding, or attempted to do so." And that was only as of when SCOTUS ruled on Fischer.

Saying it was illegal before SCOTUS ruled on Fischer v. US is like saying abortions between Roe v. Wade and Dobbs v. JWHO were illegal because Dobbs determined the Constitution does not give women a right to an abortion.

Will you post the law about citizens entering the capitol since I have been inside it and never was accused of being a criminal. Senator Feinsteins Senate office gave me a pass for merely asking for it. They did not ascertain if I was a past criminal or not.

The capitol is the public set of offices and meeting rooms owned by the public. We own it, we can visit so how can that be a criminal act? Can you be a criminal for entering your own home?
