About that debt ceiling. . .

Well that was a shitshow for nothing. And now President Musk was just served notice that he is a lame duck.

Read the OP. Read the OP. Read the OP.

Who cares about the OP?

It doesn’t have a thing to do with Trump’s open intent to go on borrowing and spending.

Trump doesn’t give a shit about debt. He never did.

His solution to fiscal problems is fining another sucker to lend him money. That’s what he’s been doing his entire life.

Perfect recitation of hateful propaganda and misrepresentation of the facts while ignoring the content of the OP. Congratulations. You did it better than anybody else today.

Propoganda isn’t necessary to understand the real reason behind Trump’s stunt.

He only asked for one thing.

Approval to borrow and spend without political consequences.

You really have to be blind not to see that.

The content of the op is farcical.

Trump is about as far from wanting to control spending as you can get.

And his Wall Street cabinet members are all standing in line to cash in.

This DOGE gimmick appears to have a lot of you fooled.

It won’t last too much longer.

Trump will pitch Musk over the side. He does it to everyone.

No shit Sherlock. That is SOP for pols.
Here are the budgets from Trump and Biden.
It should be easy to cut something, Biden's budget should be about $5T, not $7T.

Biden’s 2025 Budget is $7.30T with a $1.8T deficit______TOTAL BIDEN $6.9T
Biden’s 2024 Budget was $7.30T with a $2.0T deficit
Biden's 2023 Budget was $6.13T with a $1.7T deficit
Biden's 2022 Budget was $6.27T with a $1.4T deficit
Trump's 2021 Budget was $6.82T with a $2.8T deficit___ TOTAL TRUMP $7.6T (actual)
Trump's 2020 Budget was $6.55T with a $3.1T deficit
Trump's 2019 Budget was $4.40T with a $0.9T deficit
Trump's 2018 Budget was $4.10T with a $0.8T deficit

I am wondering when it is finally going to dawn on you that this whole shot show was not about debt at all.

It was Trump’s effort to get Congress to absolve him from the borrow and spend that characterized his last Administration.

Trump, Musk, DOGE…..it’s all BS. They’re going to borrow and spend their asses off for four years.

1. We don't know if DOGE is bullshit, they didn't publish anything yet. We'll see, stay tuned.

2. Trump made too many promises to cut taxes, and the democrats and fiscal hawk Republicans may not go along with the tax cuts, absolving Trump from his promises. I hope they don't extend the tax cuts.

3. The last administration, Biden's, was as much a "borrow and spend" as Trump-45 was. Both about $7T adds to the Debt.

4. My solution is to send Welfare back to the states. That gains about $1.8T.

You keep saying that and it is blatantly dishonest. Read the OP. Read the OP. Read the OP. If you can't understand it I'll try to use smaller words to explain it to you. Okay?

The OP is meaningless. it has nothing whatsoever to do with Trump and Musk’s stunt.

The objective was not to control spending, it was to insure that Trump could borrow and spend with abandon.

It happens to be the fact.

1. DOGE doesn’t exist. It’s nothing more than a gimmick. No department has been created (and it’s increasingly likely that it won’t be).

When that prediction of mine comes true you’ll be fed a ready made excuse, or deflection to bleat.

2. You may have a point there. They may balk at renewing his tax cuts. Trump promised everything, and his faithful disciples attacked and belittled anyone who dared say so.

3. The last Administration inherited a global crisis and had to take steps quickly to borrow to get the economy back on its feet.

Trump inherited a health economy, with low inflation, low unemployment and strong, steady growth.

All he had to do was nothing. Instead he want on a borrow and spend spree.

Last week made it clear that that is what he plans to do again. He has a cabinet of venture capitalists and dark money types looking over his shoulder.

1. DOGE exists. It is like the old Grace Commission. DOGE recommendations would need o be passed by congress, that will be the big test. Congress did not pass any Grace Commission recommendations to cut spending.

2. We are on the same side as the deficit hawks. We'll see how it plays out.

3. Revisionist history? The pandemic hit during Trump. When Biden was sworn in the vaccine was being distributed. Biden's outrageous spending spree took inflation to 9%. Families gained buying power under Trump, and lost about $11,400 a year under Biden.

4. My solution is to send Welfare back to the states. That gains about $1.8T.
You ignored my #4? Remember when Clinton said he would limit Welfare to a 2-year lifetime limit?
