About Bishop Mariann Budde.

The response was somewhat predictable.

GOP member wants bishop ‘added to deportation list’ after Trump prayer service

Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) heavily criticized statements made by the Right Rev. Mariann Budde on Tuesday at the inaugural prayer service held for President Trump.

“The person giving this sermon should be added to the deportation list,” Collins wrote in a post on the social platform X, alongside a clip of Budde’s comments.

Cuz, you know, when free speech is exercised by someone who is opposed to trump's immigration polices that person must be punished. Or marginalized. That voice must be extinguished. Because in authoritarian countries dissent is not tolerated.
She's an American citizen, you can't deport citizens - well Hitler did, you don't want to emulate him surely?

That lady was rude and a dishonest hate and fear monger
So was Jesus, e.g.

You Pharisees and teachers are show-offs, and you're in for trouble! You wash the outside of your cups and dishes, while inside there is nothing but greed and selfishness. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of a cup, and then the outside will also be clean.

We (well true Christians) should strive to live and speak as Jesus did, he is our example.

Where was the compassion for Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray?

Exactly! That woman totally insulted Trump by signaling him out like that! Totally uncalled for! The church is for the Bible, not her own personal woke agenda.

Maybe so, but I would say that she's highly suspicious of housing illegal immigrants.

Which she didn't do.

Really? Who told the adulter to go and sin no more?

Jesus showed both mercy and compassion, but He also didn't sugarcoat things either.

She most certainly does owe him an apology as she was extremely rude.

Mac1958, I noticed the nervous laughter on this post. I struck a nerve with the truth didn't I? Well, Jesus had a habit of doing that too so I'm in good company.

This story applies to the victims who protested on January 6, 2020.

Democrats hated Trump so much they prosecuted and put into prison for long terms for some, shorter terms for others. Because they protested they were treated as the enemy.

Yeah no. We don't do this; this guy is most likely an idiot. We do NOT deport people for wrong opinions.

That said, the bishop was terrible. A Christian sermon should be about either God, Jesus Christ or Scripture. Not politics. Total bust.
Well I'm not sure that technically was a sermon, but she was the Bishop of DC when Trump tear gassed St. John's and that pissed her off. Still, I'm an Episcopalian, and imo the Presiding Bishop went overboard.

A person in a sermon asking a president to have compassion on people, sadly to you is hate and fear mongering.
She stated that trans children are being murdered. No trans kid has been murdered for being trans. Lately the only children that have been killed, are by trans people.

And those charged and convicted weren't pardoned.
Biden protected his family, those who were unjust to Trump from crimes of their past but also their future.

bs. the looted and desecrated out capital.
There were 4 windows broken on the outside and 2 that I know of in a hall. The woman who was upset the hall windows were broke was murdered by the cop that stalked her.

that's not true, either. But she lectured him, and imo that's wrong.
Well don't go to a church if you don't want to hear uncomfortable truths, nobody forced him to attend and likewise nobody can force her to turn a blind eye to what's going on in our society.

When a politician like Trump begins to attack Christians, surely some of you trumpanzees will start to wake up?
