There are ten signs of social and moral decay that have lead to the death of nations. Some nations have met their end with as few as three or four of them. Now get this. America is the first nation in history to exhibit all ten of them! This article is just a tad long, but well worth the read.

A Tale of Three Empires

I have to wonder how we managed to acquire all ten of these societal ills. Do you think mass media, and the ability to communicate with anyone instantly, has something to do with it?

Yep, definitely liberalism. They **** up every country that allows them to have any power.

The myth of social and moral 'decay,' the classic canard of the reactionary right, the consequence of conservative fear of change, diversity, dissent, and expressions of individual liberty.

Reactionaries such as the OP have been whining about 'moral decay' for thousands of years, it's just as ignorant and ridiculous a notion today as it's always been.

So, it is your belief that moral behavior is not important for a healthy society then? Surely, you can't be that stupid. Moral decay was a contributing factor in the fall of Greece and Rome, as well as many other cultures. If you cannot grasp such a simple concept, then it is painfully clear that you are part of the problem. There are ten symptoms of social and moral decline that were in evidence in all of these. This is what's known as imperial evidence. Are you getting this, or do I need to use smaller words? Maybe draw you some pictures?

He's illustrating the point about everything being subject to equivocation and contradiction.
