Hamas has been stealing medicine and food sent by international donors, distributing these supplies among its members and selling the rest for profit. This accusation, appearing in numerous eyewitness reports in Palestinian Authority newspapers since the end of the Gaza War, has now been corroborated by UNRWA.

Al-Ayyam and Al-Hayat Al-Jadida have been reporting that armed Hamas men have comandeered trucks delivering food to UNRWA and have shot at the truck drivers.
Hamas has also refused to allow charities to distribute any of the supplies. An article in Al-Hayat Al-Jadida describes how Hamas militias took control of two charity organizations in Jabaliya and in Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip, and made them sign an agreement not to distribute any aid or "carry out social or humanitarian actions."

I think that there is quite a bit of confusion regarding Palestine's history. This is just historical fact that can be Googled. The years may be off by a decade or so, but nominally correct.

Until 636 AD Palestine was ruled by the Eastern (Byzantine) Roman Empire and Christianity was the state religion.

From 636 AD 1098 AD the Arabs ruled Palestine, in this period most Christians converted to Islam and Jews were invited to settle in Jerusalem.

From 1099 AD to 1187 AD It was ruled by the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. Jews and Muslims were either massacred or fled.

In 1187 Saladin Ayyubids (Kurds) conquered Jerusalem and Palestine and allowed the Christians to leave without massacring them. Jews and Arabs were invited back.

In 1249 the Ayyubids were overthrown by the Mamluk military in a sort of coup, and the Mamluk's (originally converted Christian slaves) took over.

The Mamluks ruled until 1517, when they were defeated by the the Ottomans.

Under Ottoman rule the people did not magically change. A bunch of Turks did not replace the people (almost all Muslims) that had lived there for the many centuries before.

Except for the 100 or so years of Christian rule, since the Byzantines lost control and until the defeat of the Ottomans in WW! the area has been Muslim ruled and the population was predominately Muslim with a few Christians that did not convert and even fewer Jews.

After Constantine's conversion, for example, millions of Jews and followers of Roman/Greek/Eastern pagan religions were killed because they refused to convert. There are texts that say that the Byzantines would kill children found playing with pagan artifacts. Of course, I can't say I believe it.
