A Simple Way to Stem the Hispanic Border Surge

Do you believe the crash of the Mexican pot trade is related to the immigrant flood?

First off, our law is NOT predicated on another national body and should never be so. We do not need to go around infringing on the rights of states and citizens so that we can help the Mexican economy based on breaking that law. Utter nonsense.

Further, that would do NOTHING to stem the flow of immigrants across the border. It MIGHT be supplementing the problems but the immigration issues is NOT predicated on illegal drug monies but rather on opportunity. we have it here. Mexico does not.

There is only one way to stem the flow - flat out deny services to illegals. Period. Whenever an illegal alien is caught committing a crime (ANY crime) it should warrant immediate deportation. And not across the border either - they should be dropped off at the SOUTHERN border of Mexico. Legal immigration needs to be made easier. Those that come here and work without committing other crimes are irrelevant. I don't care about them as long as we are not diverting valuable resources into assistance programs for those that are not supposed to be here anyway.

Legalizing drugs actually goes a long way into alleviating the serious problems associated with illegal immigrants - namely the crime and violence that the cartels bring with them across the border. That will cease to exist once the market is wrested away from the cartels and placed into American entrepreneurs.

Wow, I think you just won the "naive" award of UMB. Our capitalists here pay very close attention to and spare no effort manipulating how foreign relations affect our economy and more importantly, their own personal economies [bottom line]. They pack pockets in order to maintain their pretty status quo every day of the week. Welcome to America. Did you just arrive on Ellis Island?

Having to provide for a ballooning illegal immigrant problem on top of a populace and economy struggling just to keep it's nose above the water line is going to get noticed by the capitalists that still call this place home [who haven't already gutted-and-run and are living with untouchable bank accounts offshores.] We need Mexico to be our friend right now. You don't walk up to a person you want to be your friend, rob 3/4s of what's in his wallet, pat him on the back and say "Don't take it personally. will you join me in keeping the Western Hemisphere safe from the Russians and Chinese who can afford to bribe you right now more than me?"

We are so blinded by decades of often cruel global omnipotence, that as we lay here bleeding, we still believe that image is what's going to bring in the "true friends" at a crucial moment... We'd better get real, really fast, or we very soon will face a reckoning IMHO.

The Mexican pot trade has not crashed. Some of the pot trade has been diverted to meth, heroin and krokodil. The drug trade is flourishing as it always has.

The current invasion was made by the US government by promoting the idea that amnesty was in the near future. That was picked up by radio and television stations throughout south and central America. The illegals are showing up with "Permisos". That is a hand written by the illegal giving them permission to come here to "dream, look for a better life, join a friend or family member". This has nothing to do with the drug trade.

Oh, goody! But hey, aren't meth, heroin and krokodil harder for the common man in Mex to manufacture and get chemicals etc. to produce? Don't kid yourself, pot was their easy, cheap and plentiful mellow bread and butter. The others were just side hobbies. But yeah, thanks for pointing out that the much harder and dangerous drugs will now dominate Mexico's economy...and violence around the borders...and rehab centers and addiction costs in the US...and...and...and..

Nothing like being blind to the domino effect! Let's give a hand to the hippies. :eusa_clap: Well with all that short-term memory loss, it's hard for them to project into the future how today's actions will affect it. I just thought that maybe someone else in this country had part of their brain functional. Each day though I hold out less and less hope that this is the case.

:booze:

You calling someone else 'naive.' Now THAT is ******* funny!

Land mines are good but pose a danger to wildlife. Helicopter gun ships. Individuals with flame throwers. There are many ways. Anyone deported should be branded on the face. If they come back they will be instantly recognized and shot on sight by anyone.

Then we don't have an illegal alien problem any more.

Yes, I can see the reuters' headline now: "US bombs, guns down and burns thousands of women and children crossing their border". Should be great for grooming empathy from our allies abroad and for the overall US standing in the world.

Why didn't I think of that? :cuckoo:

Well I can see they got you in their hip pocket.
Once the news trucks leave, these kids will be processed and sent back from whence they came.
They do not belong here. They are not our problem.
We have American kids, born here, who are living in poverty( see how this trap you set for yourselves works?) and need our help.

We could implement the Republican plan, which is to drive all wages in the USA down so much that Mexicans won't want to come to the USA.

Nah. Probably not a good idea. But Republicans will keep trying to implement it.

You don't think cutting off a huge chunk of their economy has caused a souring of Mexican/US relations? I do.

I think it is in part behind Mexico "turning a blind eye" and "greasing the skids" for all those kids making that long and obvious trek up through their country to the US borders to storm us.

I guess the folks at the Moonie Times don't know about the gang violence in Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatamala from which these kids are escaping.

My god, we cannot even stop children from invading our borders ?

Really Americans ? How long are we going to put up with this ?

Get in touch with your representatives at once !

If they won't do anything, looks like we'll have to do something ourselves !

I can picture some on the Right gathering at the border to pick off some kids.

Whoa man you are so hardcore and knowledgeable! The world needs your wisdom!!!

Oh yeah, he is "wise" alright. He is the same idiot who guaranteed that the entire city of Tokyo would be completely evacuated by now. He's got da wisdoms all up in his shit, alright.

What is this discussion about? Are Republicans arguing to make marijuana illegal again and to kill children at the border?

If that's the argument then America needs to melt down the Statue of Liberty. We obviously don't want it or its message anymore.

You know, because we're a good Christian nation.

No green card?
No visa?
Get in the truck.

Here's how a sensible country protects their culture, heritage and borders.
These are mexican laws dealing with illegal aliens and legal immigrants.

--Immigrants must have necessary funds for their sustenance and dependents
(Article 34)

--Foreigners may be barred from the country if they are not physically or
mentally healthy(Article 37)

--The General Law on Population says under Mexican Law, Illegal immigration is
a felony (Art.123)

--Foreigners deported from Mexico & attempt to re-enter without
authorization can be
imprisoned up to 10 years (Article 118)

--Non-citizens cannot in any way participate in the political affairs of the
country.

Hell, Israel rounds up illegal aliens and holds them in concentration camps to be deported ASAP.
They value their culture, heritage and borders.

The statue of liberty has nothing to do with u.s immigration law/policy.
