Yeah, we see how this will end. He'll push it one step too far and either kill someone or be killed.

Far-left miscreant Thomas Alexander Starks, 31, of Lisbon, North Dakota, pleaded guilty to destruction of government property last April. Starks brought an ax to Sen. John Hoeven’s office in Fargo on December 21, 2020, and smashed an intercom and glass door. The attack was captured on video.

Federal guidelines suggested Starks should spend 10–16 months in the hoosegow, but because he is a protected member of Antifa, he was sentenced to mere probation and ordered to pay $2,784 in restitution.

Keep in mind that there are people still in solitary confinement for taking non-violent selfies in the Capitol on January 6.

Even better, the FBI returned the ax he used in the attack. Starks is bragging about it on Facebook, where he goes by the name “Paul Dunyan,” a reference to the axman Paul Bunyan.

Starks openly admits to being a member of Antifa and has a history of threatening violence online. In one picture, Starks is seen wearing a Socialist Rifle t-shirt. Socialist Rifle is a left-wing fringe group that had communicated with Antifa mass shooter Connor Betts before he murdered nine people in Dayton, Ohio, back in 2019.

He pleaded guilty before Chief Judge Peter D. Welte of U.S. District Court, Fargo, ND.

It soulds like an unreasably light slap on the wrist, a mere tap really, if reading the record and seeing the pictures.
It sounds like the Judge is an indulgent p#ssy, but what are you going to do? He is a good Republican and was hand picked and appointed, August 5, 2019 by President Donald J Trump.

So much for what used to be the law and order party, eh?

First, it's the difference between attacking an empty building, and one occupied by people who could be seriously hurt.

They are being overly dramatic. From what I could tell, the man was guilty of vandalizing an empty office. And they try to compare his actions to people threatening members of congress and the vice president with physical harm.

PJmedia.

You folks are really, really dumb, and that's one of thousands of reasons why.
Wow. An Ad Hom. Fallacy? Is that all you have to deny reality with?

Facts are facts.

He did it, and plead guilty.

You going to deny your eyes, and the indictment? :dunno:

They could have gotten him on trespass if he tried to enter the office. But all he did was break the intercom and the door.

Did the attacker KNOW that the building was unoccupied and that his attack would not effectuate an entry before he carried it out?

:dunno:

None the less, to show equitable justice, they should still put him in a holding cell for at least three or four weeks before charging him with anything. . . .

He appears to walk down an empty hall, to an closed door. The loud sounds of his ax on the glass door resulted in nobody responding. He calmly walks away indicating he wasn't expecting anybody to respond to the noise. That would make it look like the building was empty.

From the video, there were no humans involved. That means it would only be a felony based on the price of the door, which may be under the felony threshold.

OK. .. . . So we only lock him up without charges or seeing a lawyer, for, say. . . three weeks.

If a busy government building is seven or eight months, surely this sort of behavior warrants a good three weeks of unconstitutional punishment. It is, still, after all, a government building. We can't let this sort of behavior go unpunished. That would make you folks look like hypocrites.

Actually it appears to be a commercial building. It's not federal property, and reminds me of the case of somebody who did this to an IRS office every april 15th.

Curious, does that mean you find hate crime charges for vandalizing a street painting to be excessive?

Hate crimes are hate crimes. If you vandalize a commercial building it's a crime. If you vandalize a church, or a synagogue, or a mosque because you hate the religion, it's a hate crime.
If you vandalize a 7-11 because of the owners race, religion or national origin, again, a hate crime.

Lol, I knew it. You have no interest in justice, you're just another leftist ideologue. If that had been a Democrat office you'd be screaming from the mountaintops. You know it and I know it.

I believe in let the punishment fit he crime. And our system puts people above property. It also realizes the prides and prejudices of the people, seeking to quell them. And enhances punishments consistent with those principles.
