I'm gonna stick with "it's the economy, stupid" reason they ultimately lost. That and the fact that Democrats are just fucking hopeless when it comes to messaging. As in, they can't message their way out of a wet paper bag.
There are smaller reasons. Biden running for re-election when he should have just retired. Once again, chosing someone (whose already run and been an abject failure) was picked to run because it was "their time", or because
it was going to offend a section of the voting pop if they didn't. Not focusing on the plight of voters who might be struggling and sympathizing with them.

She was installed because she was the only one who could legally access Quid Pro Joe's war chest. They wanted the money more than the cared about appealing to the voters and lost. Today the View showed up with what they call a Transgender woman and the world classifies as males who THINK they are females. Why do males think they are females? They have men organs. They have parents and doctors who knew they are males. The mind does not make you male or female. The mind confuses people who think that way.

I normally will watch the Price is Right and then the View for all of maybe 10 minutes. I believe in keeping my eyes on my enemy and that is my only reason for checking in on the View. But they never shut up. I don't buy their sponsors goods but like a person wanting to boycott their sponsors, maybe that will get them put off the air. Why price is right? The media believes what we really want on TV are crime shows. That to me is the Democrats.
