A new CNN poll reveals how people mad at both parties see the midterms

We've become fat and lazy. How many Americans do think can tell you who their Senators are?

We don't care enough to fix our system. Just another self-inflicted wound, as are most of our problems.

In some cases, it's disillusioned, dispirited, and despondent rather than fat and lazy. Why fight if nobody is trustworthy? I'm sure many think that Trump is trustworthy, but I think there are many more who don't. And so far there is NOBODY on the Left that I would trust. Maybe Fetterman comes closest.

THIRD PARTY is needed.

1. patriotism to America
2. fiscal conservatism/sunshine/audits ... we are $39 trillion in debt and that actually is bad....
3. no discrimination or preferential treatment
4. make AIPAC a designated FOREIGN LOBBY
5. a DOJ not obsessed with making "Alliance for Treason" above the law as Pam Bondi did last summer
6. born male, you play mens sports and use mens bathrooms
7. use of US military solely for US National Interest, never again for the cause of Zionist Fascism

We need more than just 3rd party........we need solid choices that don't pander to any money machine and will actually represent the American people.

Depends on the specifics.

Tell me what the Democrats are putting forth as a platform for the mid terms?

What’s their message other than hate Trump, and half of the population?
There may have been changes to this in light of trump's incompetence and lawlessness but........

As opposed to the R's platform which was.........................whatever trump says, no matter how batshyte crazy it is, is okay with us.

Why Republicans didn’t write a platform for their convention this year

o, the same things that lost them in ‘24
D's policy platform has been popular with a majority of Americans for years. What lost the elections for them in '24 was voters being duped in to believing Biden was solely responsible for global inflation and hilariously............wait for it.............that trump would end it. :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

Well OP, if it makes you feel any better I won't be voting for my congress critter, never have, I just leave that space blank. I don't vote for lawyers in the pocket of Tyson unless it can't be avoided.

Of course if I thought a vile dem stood a chance at the seat I'd have to hold my nose and vote for the prick but I'd not be happy about it.

SHUT THESE TWO TREASONOUS PARTIES DOWN AND RESCUE AMERICA
I went a long time hoping for a third party, I still contribute to the Forward Party, but I'm not holding my breath at this point. I don't think we can get from here to there.

You'd think that at some point the populace would have enough of this, but I don't see it happening. Plus, of course, the two parties control the system to their advantage.

I didn’t realize Democrats had a platform, I they ever talked about was Trump, all that money spent advertising for the opponent. Brilliant move! Had the candidate been better they could have won easily.

Sure dem shill but you do have somewhat of a point.

Nobody that is not an air traveler cares if the .gov shuts down anymore. If they are on break, even better.

Congress has ceded so much of it's power to the executive they are not much of a much.

The less congress has to do with our lives the better.

Really it's that your system has been captured. The two dominant parties have set it up to actively suppress significant third party progress at the local level.

Now that party funding is more central, voters have even less say.

Thank your supreme court.

So, you’re doubling down on what you lost on in 24…good job

You’re nuts. That’s why you lost.

Not seeing it. What legislation is there that suppresses any 3rd party at the local level or any level? We've already got 3rd parties that in some cases influenced who ended up getting elected. Do we not have senators and congresspersons who ran and won as a 3rd party or write-in?

I also do not see the issue with party funding leading to voters having less say. Sometimes the winner in an election is not the one who spent the most money.

It is shame on McCain and Feingold and the bipartisan vote for Campaign Finance Reform, had they not passed this bill, things would not have changed. That bill moved us to the Citizens United BS. McCain and Feingold wanted a name for themselves, they got it!
