1. Clearly Democrat voters missed the lesson on civics.
Civics is the study of the rights, duties, and responsibilities of citizens in a society. Google.

2. The proof of my statement is that none can defend or justify voting for the Kamala agenda.
These voters view political parties in the same way they view their favorite sports team, and vote accordingly: "My party, no matter how bad they are at governing or standing for American principles."

3. Or, perhaps they apply a bastardization of the Stephan Decatur quote: "“Our country! In her intercourse with foreign nations may she always be in the right; but our country, right or wrong!”

4. I would suggest that Democrat voters take this opportunity to board the Trump Train, and use the Lord Palmerston quote:

"We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow.”

5. ....and those interests are found in our founding document, the US Constitution.
They include free speech, treating each person the same before the law, and limited government.

Clearly not the interests of the Democrat Party

There is no penalty for using your God-given intelligence, but there is a penalty for blindly following some political party.

Try thinking about separation of powers, divided government

and

try thinking about freedom and liberty -- the people deciding who and what they want to believe in and vote for

I would appreciate it if you would explain your post vis-a-vis the OP to which you linked.

Are you in support or opposition?

And why?

It is most important for Americans these days - speaking of civics - is to understand the roles and "powers" of the three branches of the Federal government, and how the Tenth Amendment works when properly applied.

Relatedly, Americans should understand the role of the Federal government vis a vis the States.

It is understandable that many, if not most, Americans are confused or ill-informed on these distinctions because the political Left flouts them continually.

I have long believed that every American, when first registering to vote, should be required to pass the same basic Civics test, in ENGLISH, that immigrants must pass in order to be naturalized. I have yet to hear a single valid argument to the contrary.

The Democrats used the Justice branch to go after a political opponent. They have no respect for separation of powers.

Apply it to MAGA and you will be well on the road.

Apply it to MAGA and you will be well on the road.
MAGA???

You mean Americanism.

Your party, your support, your vote, was for some Marxist, Leftist, Bolshevik endeavor.

To this day you are unable to explain or justify any of this:

  • Contrary to the term itself, Kamala has stated that illegal aliens are not criminals
  • She has stated that she wishes to decriminalize illegally crossing the border, similar to the way Democrats have decriminalized shoplifting.
  • She has argued against, not the death penalty, just the death penalty for cop killers
  • She favors defunding the police
  • She authored a fund to bail out domestic terrorists, called the Minnesota Freedom Fund.
  • Joining Communist Bernie Sanders in “Medicare For All,” in which she argues for all private health insurance. BTW, some 220 million Americans have private health insurance, 65% of the population
  • Kamala plans to include all the illegals in the Medicare plan
  • Eliminate and ban all fracking which produces 64% of the total crude oil produced in the United States in 2023.
  • She supported a law which bans arrests for shoplifting under $950.
  • She supports indicting Israel for war crimes against Hamas
  • Believes in banning internal combustion engines, allowing only electric vehicles.
  • As Attn’y General, her office supported Prop 57 that put rapists and murders back on the street after serving a fraction of their sentence
  • Supported a state law that keeps parents from knowing about the indoctrination of their children toward gender transition
  • When the nation was wracked by Democrat-fueled George Floyd riots Kamala said the riots should not stop:

“As a U.S. senator from California from 2017 to 2021, she had a more leftist voting record even than socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, Vermont independent.” Harris had a more leftist voting record in Senate than Sanders

Kamala wrote “Trump supports a national abortion ban.” Of course that is a lie. Kamala Harris na Instagramie : "Donald Trump supports a national abortion ban. President @JoeBiden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women's reproductive freedom."

Kamala was the deciding vote on the $1.9T American Rescue Plan that caused this inflation. Now prices are up nearly 30%.

As long as the Left controls education and educators, it won't happen.

This is what we find in teacher college:

"Pedagogy of the Oppressor

Another reason why U.S. ed schools are so awful: the ongoing influence of Brazilian Marxist Paulo Freire

Pedagogy of the Oppressor

  1. At a recent meeting of the New York Teaching Fellows program (“Teach for America”: provides an alternate route to state certification for about 1,700 new teachers annually) , Sol Stern found the one book that the fellows had to read in full was Pedagogy of the Oppressed, by the Brazilian educator Paulo Freire.
This book has achieved near-iconic status in America’s teacher-training programs. In 2003, David Steiner and Susan Rozen published a study examining the curricula of 16 schools of education—14 of them among the top-ranked institutions in the country, according to U.S. News and World Report—and found that Pedagogy of the Oppressed was one of the most frequently assigned texts in their philosophy of education courses.

  1. But rather than dealing with the education of children, Pedagogy of the Oppressed mentions none of the issues that troubled education reformers throughout the twentieth century: testing, standards, curriculum, the role of parents, how to organize schools, what subjects should be taught in various grades, how best to train teachers, the most effective way of teaching disadvantaged students. This ed-school bestseller is, instead, a utopian political tract calling for the overthrow of capitalist hegemony and the creation of classless societies.
  2. Freire isn’t interested in the Western tradition’s leading education thinkers—not Rousseau, not Piaget, not John Dewey, not Horace Mann, not Maria Montessori. He cites a rather different set of figures: Marx, Lenin, Mao, Che Guevara, and Fidel Castro, as well as the radical intellectuals Frantz Fanon, Régis Debray, Herbert Marcuse, Jean-Paul Sartre, Louis Althusser, and Georg Lukács. And no wonder, since Freire’s main idea is that the central contradiction of every society is between the “oppressors” and the “oppressed” and that revolution should resolve their conflict. The “oppressed” are, moreover, destined to develop a “pedagogy” that leads them to their own liberation.
  3. Freire never intends “pedagogy” to refer to any method of classroom instruction based on analysis and research, or to any means of producing higher academic achievement for students. [H]e relies on Marx’s standard formulation that “the class struggle necessarily leads to the dictatorship of the proletariat [and] this dictatorship only constitutes the transition to the abolition of all classes and to a classless society.” In one footnote, however, Freire does mention a society that has actually realized the “permanent liberation” he seeks: it “appears to be the fundamental aspect of Mao’s Cultural Revolution.”
  4. The pedagogical point of Freire’s thesis : its opposition to taxing students with any actual academic content, which Freire derides as “official knowledge” that serves to rationalize inequality within capitalist society. One of Freire’s most widely quoted metaphors dismisses teacher-directed instruction as a misguided “banking concept,” in which “the scope of action allowed to the students extends only as far as receiving, filing and storing the deposits.” Freire proposes instead that teachers partner with their coequals, the students, in a “dialogic” and “problem-solving” process until the roles of teacher and student merge into “teacher-students” and “student-teachers.”

But.....with the miracle or the election......who knows.

Every time I point out what you voted for, it's like holding a cross up to a vampire

You suck at reasoning as does Trump:

"We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow.”

Which is why he bullies leaders in small nations.

Civics 101: Homework assignment

Try thinking about separation of powers, divided government

and

try thinking about freedom and liberty -- the people deciding who and what they want to believe in and vote for
Is there a Civics 101? I always thought that was for lower grades, like Jr. High.
Maybe if you didn't get it in K-12, I guess?

The Democrats used the Justice branch to go after a political opponent. They have no respect for separation of powers.

Bolsheviks.

. There is hardly a sliver of light that fits through the embrace between the Bolsheviks, Nazis, and Democrats.
Take Beria, for example....

2. His fame, and his usefullness to the regime, was that he could pick a random person out of a crowd, beat them with truncheons, knock them down, knee-cap them, drag them into a jail cell....and then figure out what to charge them with.
Beria put it this way:

3. Perhaps you saw this:

"What Trump's pleading the Fifth means for New York AG Tish James

After Trump declined to answer questions Wednesday, legal experts said the former president’s decision could create an impression among some that he has something to hide."

4. What the media leaves out is that Democrat AG Letitia James is the current Lavrentiy Beria, who ran for office claiming she'd find some way to charge her political opponent:

She is on the record saying she has always been out to get Donald Trump. Her angry prejudice against him makes her way too biased ....

Imagine how many Russians would have survived if they had the fifth amendment.

Are U.S. military personnel required to learn the U.S. Constitution in detail?

At West Point, two semesters of constitutional law is part of the core curriculum. The knowledge I gained is something I value very much!
I feel guilty reading all if these former soldiers' answers. It never occurred to me to train my soldiers about the Constitution - or that they would be interested or realize it's value.
I'll apologize for me and the rest of the officer corp: sorry, I just didn't think of it.
In my unit, I did spend a lot of time talking and training about legal and illegal orders - which is the same subject. But I can't remember ever pointing out that it had anything to do w

Simple chic and The duke would really benefit from an online civics class.

They vote for class hatred when they vote MAGA.
Lemme tell you something, American Indians are going to do a lot better with Donald Trump.
He knows. He knows how integral they are to America.
They could mine rare earth metals on land they're not using if they wanted to. Just be responsible about it.
Don't poison your people that are next door.
