Hawaii was dramatically different since it was in the midst of a court ordered recount and was overseen and authorized by the governor of the state.

No such circumstances existed with Trump’s fake electors who were operating completely outside the bounds of any government authority. Their purpose was to insert their votes to eliminate the properly chosen votes and deprive millions of Americans their vote.

Trump was charged. Didn’t you see? Smith charged him with a bunch of things including fraud, attempts to deprive citizens of their rights, conspiracy. It was a big story.
