This is not your average ghost story. And it will not be for everyone. Most people will probably not be able to identify and relate to it, either because they don't have the intellect to, or they have not been through a major crises in their life.
It is a movie about loss, time moving on without your ability to control it - and living in a seemingly meaningless existence.
It can be a bit too "artsy" at times, and parts of it move way too slow. But overall it is a pretty meaningful movie, if you can relate to it.
It is ethereal, spiritual and a bit profound.

NOTE - for whatever reason their trailer makes you think the movie is about the girl.
It is not. It is about the person who died. They are by far the center of the story.

This looks like a really good movie, but I'm sensing it's gonna bring on Marley and me 😭 levels.

I thought it was entertaining. Rooney Mara who played the wife was the same actress who played "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". The time travel was done well and kept your attention. I liked it but my wife didn't.

It isn't for everyone. Some folks are more philosophical, "thinkers", and some are not. Not necessarily a difference in intelligence, just a different way of thinking.

I cannot recall a single Sundance movie I have liked.
