Well, see that has been the crux of the problem for Me.

I never used to, but this past year it has actually become harder and harder to remember that there are feeling, breathing, and caring people on the other side of the name. I haven't much liked who I've become on this forum with the viscious attacks and borderline hatred.

There are some who I would never consider a friend or give any thought to sharing a beer or sitting in a quiet setting, sipping fine bourbon, and, well, I haven't smoked in 25 years, but share a cigar and talk about philosophy, kids, and personal interests.

But many are just ideologically opposite of me, and that's okay, as long as it's not personal or with insults.

There is a line from Star Trek: Enterprise in which Archer is going rock climbing alone but is forced to take some company in that the only other Warp 5 Captain joins him. They are camping and she asks him why he has this death wish -- I am abreviating immensely here -- and his reply was, "I lost something out there and I don't know how ot get it back."

I feel that way here sometimes.

Way to ruin the thread with all that maturity and rationality.
