It works- Texas, Florida, Nevada and Tennessee are four of the fastest growing states and economies. They have no income tax. They rely on sales tax only- meaning they only tax spending. That’s why everyone is escaping from high-tax blue states like California, New York and Illinois to move to these states. On the federal level we can replace income taxes with either a national sales tax, or tariffs, or a combination of both. The bonus is…if we eliminate income tax, we eliminate the IRS. Forget firing 86,000 new IRS agents. Let’s fire every IRS agent. Your money belongs to you. It’s none of the government’s damn business what you make.

Our economy can’t survive their cost for welfare, food stamps, education, free healthcare and prison/police. They all have to go. And no, it’s not 10 million illegal aliens. Big Solution #6: Institute TERM LIMITS for Congress. Everyone serves two terms and then goes home. No one gets to stay in DC forever and gets filthy rich on the taxpayer’s dime ever again.

Big Solution #7: Follow the lead of Argentinian President Javier Milei by dramatically cutting the size of government and firing at least one third of government bureaucrats. No modern-day U.S. president has ever cut spending. President Trump should be the first. This is the only way to start cutting the national debt. The bonus is by cutting government and firing bureaucrats, we are dismantling the Deep State.

3. I'm OK with some staying who are needed for the economy, as long as they are not a drain on society. No government benefits for either them or their children. They must be 100% self sufficient but no illegals can ever become citizens because coming here illegally automatically nullifies any chance of that. This means that probably 90% of them would be sent back.

4. Well, there are people who need welfare because they really can't work, including many veterans. In fact, these people need to be better taken care of than they are now. But, the system is ripe with fraud. If you really can work then you work. However, you also have to realize that there are many who would just resort to a life of crime in order to get by and we have to figure that out somehow, probably through stricter law enforcement and the justice system. If you have proven all you want to do is be a career criminal then we should give them a lifetime of free room and board - in jail.

What a clown. We are the worlds leader in crude oil production, and LNG production. A leader in exporting refined petroleum product, and a leader in Green Energy production. We produce and export more energy than we use and import. It's the very same formula they used to fool the sheep in 2019 into believing that it means something to the price at the pump.

There are solutions to the problems we face. The solutions are not simple.

The only thing you have to be careful of is if you cut too much too fast, the economy does go into a recession. But, in the long run, maybe that is what is needed is to let the shit hit the fan and work itself out. But short term would be very problematic.

The only way to get a term limit for Congress, for example, is to have a convention of the states and have the states amend the Constitution for the first time in history. After all, Congress will not limit their powers in any way, even though they passed term limits for the Executive branch with no problem.

I can’t see income taxes being eliminated…to much power behind it

I agree with it but I don’t think the power players would.

I like the idea of a universal 2.5% income tax…but we the people get a say on where our money goes …not to foreign countries for their wars that don’t affect Americans. If my tax money is going toward building parks and hospitals, cleaning our streets , public libraries and beautiful public buildings for honoring US history ….we’ll sign me up
