This documentary encapsulates the entire Charley Kirk discussion because it shows us why Charlie was gunned down at a university. The documentary "No Safe Spaces" was made years prior to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, but highlights why Charlie was even at these universities in the first place

The documentary shows how a militant Left wing woke culture has taken over the universities all across the nation, and why Charlie was there to confront it. Violence and coercion and hateful rhetoric that defames people with impunity and unreported by Legacy media ran rampant for decades at their universities with even Jewish students hiding on campus for fear of their lives at some of these universities as other students chanted "Gas the Jews".

No safe spaces refers to universities implementing no offensive speech zones where students could feel safe from ideas and notions that might disturb or offend them in any way. But, you guessed it, only conservative ideas and notions were offensive and Hitler like so only conservatives were targeted and only conservatives were prevented from speaking their minds.

Why universities? It is because that is where the future leaders of the nation will come from, pure and simple, and is why Charlie targeted these areas to help ensure that students had other points of view that the Left has gone out of their way to snuff out to hopefully save the nation he loved and was willing to die for.

It is well known that the Left wishes to end the second amendment and gun rights, but what is lesser known is they also want free speech to end, which they did end at many of these universities, even universities in Red states. And make no mistake about it, Charlie Kirk died trying to defend both the right to free speech and the right to bear arms, even though the hateful rhetoric of the Left caused his assassin to write "fascist" on the shell casings and used a gun to end his life, there is not doubt in my mind that Charlie Kirk would stand here today still championing both. In fact, half of America now wants to end free speech.

The idea is that so long as there is free speech, eventually truth wins out in debate, but once you no longer have the freedom to express yourself, the truth can be hidden and suppressed forever.

Charley briefly makes an appearance in the movie, but the movie was not about him, just like his assassination was not about him. It is something far bigger than Charlie.

In fact, instead of showing a Charley Kirk tribute, they should air this documentary instead because this is why Charlie gave his life, along with those who fought in a bloody revolution to gain those rights.

Wonder how Adam feels about Jimmy getting cancelled; he was the guy who gave him his start in the business.

First of all, Jimmy was not cancelled, he was suspended. There is no doubt in my mind that he will be back somewhere and has plenty of money to live on if he does not.

Secondly, the movie lists all the people the Left has cancelled, which is far greater in scope, only, they were not suspended, they were axed altogether till the end of time itself. The movie makes the point that if this cancel culture is allowed to continue unabated, it will touch everyone eventually, like Jimmy.

The movie turned out to be prophetic.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Yeah.

I wonder what Carolla thinks about his friend being cancelled. He gave him his start in the business.

We certainly don’t have the freedom to criticize Israel.

Many try to defame Charlie as getting wealthy off what he did. But I say he earned every penny, especially since every day of his life he had to endure death threat after death threat, and no, these threats were not coming from MAGA. LOL

He would even tell people who went on stage with him that if they did not feel safe, they did not have to go out there with him.

And even though he made enough money to last 10 lifetimes, he still put his life on the line every day to go out there because he loved his country more than life itself.

I just love the smell of nervous laughter in the morning

Ironic how the GQP is now going down the very same road.

I sure didn't expect that.

Birds of a feather, I guess. The two ends sure can share behaviors and tactics.
In the documentary, Dennis Prager utters a profound truth, and that is at our core, human beings value safely over freedom.

This can be seen across the world as freedom of speech is absent from it. Only in America can a comedian, for example, feel free to make jokes without going to jail or getting fined like they do in Canada.

And so it goes, these internal urges to snuff out freedom for safety must be continually opposed in both parties, or we lose our freedoms.
