Two words: Army Surplus. These things are awesome for the backcountry.

Like everything else in the Military the little tool is made for right handed use only. Being left handed I quickly learned to adapt to open C-rats or starve. I haven't lost my touch in all those years. I can open a can faster with the little tool than my wife can with a modern can-opener.

I'm a lefty and couldn't use a left-handed can opener to save my life. LOL

The reason is of course that lefties are smarter and more adaptable than righties and besides, there are no left handed can openers.

i'm left handed also ,but I never had a problem using the p 38 !! I had one but I can't find the thing, need to go to an ARMY surplus and get another ...a must have !!

Growing up with 6 (count 'em, six) right-handed siblings was a bit of a challenge.
That, and being the middle child provided for quite the neurotic upbringing.
