So, I wrote this song. It’s an up-tempo beat. I dig it, but it is not quite there. There is something missing. See what you think:

Working in the coal mine night and day,
Gotta work hard to make my pay.
I’m spending my life as an old coal digger
When I come out of the mine I look like a dirty man

We have 5 kids, 2 boys and 3 girls
A couple of hound dogs to chase squirrels
The corn in the field can’t get much bigger
Every day I thank God I ain’t a lazy man

I’m just a country boy, through and through
Yet sometimes I got to sing the blues
I need a drink, so where’s my jigger?
I bet it was stolen by a Goddamn thief

For me the only thing missing is the melody. Do you have a clip of someone singing it so that we know how it is all supposed to sound?
