A baseball players life

Good article. Unless you have been spotted early and recruited heavily, the chances of making it to the Majors, or even a good D1 school are remote. Out of my home city of 1 million people, only Alex Verdugo made it (recent history) and he was already being scouted at age 15.
 
Making millions of dollars a year for playing a kids game.

You just know there has to be a downside somewhere in there.
 
The amazing thing is the number of players from "the Islands" who are drafted and make it.
