Where I live you have to have a natl I.D.card(cedula) to get in line to vote. The votes are paper and counted by 2 groups, witnessed by furrners(UN group)
Then they get sorted into the 3 groups , plus write in, and placed in 4 boxes.
Box 4 is usually a dozen or so like the morons who write in Bernie or Nader or Carrot Top.
Then each box is counted. Winner takes all. No "electoral racketeers".
7 states(provinces) with about 6 stations per locale.You have to vote in the locale you were born and received your cedula in. Sometimes that's hours to get there.

Votes are always Sunday so no work interference. Public transport is also free on voting day so no excuses. People who have work on Sunday, like hospitals, cops, hotelers,red cross, etc get a few hours off(with pay) and go to the front of the line so they can get back to work. People abroad get a write in a week or so early. Those are counted in the embassy nearest them. Miami,DC, NY, Quebec,Toronto etc.
