Here we have and examination of the myth that 90% of the people want background checks on all sales....this is a myth because they don't know what they are agreeing to......liars are polling the uninformed....this article addresses that problem.....

Friendly Reminder That the "90% of Americans Want Tougher Background Checks" Narrative Is a Lie | RedState

Of course 90% of people want background checks...and we have them. Go try to buy a gun from a store, or online, and I guarantee you're going to get your name run through an NICS check. Yes, everybody wants to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, and you'll notice we have laws on the books against that.

But still, leftists flaunt the 90% stat like we really - *wink wink* *nudge nudge* - mean we want tougher gun laws, and Republicans and the NRA are standing in the way like the villains they are. Problem is, that's not even true.

When the gun control bill in 2013 failed, 62% of Americanswanted the issue dropped. Furthermore, only 41% believe that even more background checks will reduce crime, and only 30% want broader background checks according to Rasmussen.

In essence, the 90% stat is approval for laws we already have on the books, but even more laws tend to find their way into the trashcan because we actually don't want them. Many Americans understand that tougher gun laws will only make it tougher for regular citizens to get them, and would much rather be armed against a bad guy who is going to get his gun someway, somehow, regardless of what law is passed.

I wouldn't worry about that, even from your twisted perspective. You long ago departed from a form of govt that represents the will of the masses. The substantial people do what they wish and legislate all forms of tyranny concentrated wealth will allow. Since you've personally thrown in with that lot, ya get what they leave for you on the floor and occasionally that may not cut your way. But that was your choice, show some personal responsibility and stop your incessant whining and bitching when those you follow and support turn their backs on you, as they always eventually do. In essence, please grow up, it's long past time.

you should stop drinking...you can't handle it........

Ninety-two percent of voters, including 92 percent of gun owners and 86 percent of Republicans, support background checks prior to all gun sales, according to a new poll from Quinnipiac University.

The results indicate that, while the proposed shift to universal background checks has stirred intense partisan bickering inside the Beltway, it's not nearly as controversial throughout the rest of the country.

Supporters of tougher gun laws were quick to highlight the results, calling on House Republican leaders to take up legislation expanding background screenings to all commercial gun sales.
Rep. Mike Thompson (Calif.), a gun owner who heads the House Democratic task force on gun violence, urged GOP leaders to consider his bill to do just that.

"The only thing standing in the way of it passing is the Republican Majority in the House," Thompson said in a statement. "It's time they listen to the 92 percent of American gun owners who support background checks and bring our bill up for a vote — because if the Republican Majority would allow a vote, my bill would pass."

Poll: 92 percent of gun owners support universal background checks

The only thing that prevents a bill like this from passing is the bought and paid for GOP Representatives.

And again...liars polling the uninformed......

--Do they realize that universal background checks will be easily bypassed by criminals? Using the same methods criminals use to bypass current federally mandated background checks?

--Do they know that we already have background checks for all gun sales at gun stores and gun shows?

--did they ask if the repsondents knew exactly what was meant by Universal Background checks?

--did they ask if the Universal backgroundchecks would cover "Sales" or all "transfers" of guns...including lending a gun to a friend at a range, or letting a family member use your gun for hunting or going to the range?

--Do they understand the effect this will have on the ability of people to get firearm training?

--Do they understand the process that will be required if it is all Transfers if you ask a friend or family member to watch your guns when you go on vacation?

--Who will pay for the exanded background checks? The gun stores will have to charge a fee....will a new law be put in place that requires them to conduct a background check for a gun sale that won't happen through their store?

Oh goodness, the shame of it all. It would mean less guns on the streets. Terrible, terrible thing to happen, right? It would be more difficult for loonies to obtain guns with which to wreak their havoc. And people would have to be more careful with guns, as they would be held responsible for others that took their guns when they were stored irresponsibly. Oh my, the horror of it, actual accountability for those that own guns.

See..your u throw out...it would mean less guns on the street as if that were an intelligent thing to say....uninformed people will agree but I know the truth....I am calling you out..........explain how universal background checks would get guns off the streets since current background checks do not....

Also explain how the two methods used by criminals to get guns at gun stores...using people to buy guns for them, who can pass current federally mandated background checks...or they steal the guns....

Explain how universal background checks stop either one......

Also...explain how universal background checks stop mass shooters.....all of whom passed one or more background checks...or stole their guns or bought them illegally......

and you are combining background checks with registration of guns...showing you are just as uninform d as the people taking the poll

You have claimed much...but are wrong on all of it....your post is pointless and deceptive.....
