Congress had a simple job to do to avoid sequester. Gain bipartisan agreement on spending cuts. They didn't even try

Well, the GOP has a real problem. When significant portions of the ACA go into effect in 2014, and people find out that it will allow those whose only recourse previously was the emergency room to have health care, it will become a permanant fixture, until it morphs into a Single Payer Universal System. And the GOP will once more be seen as just an obstruction in the road, as they were for Social Security and MediCare.
