The answer is yes, normal airliners can and did knock down the towers.
Kind of a dumb ass statement when you consider that in ww2 Kamikaze pilots sank U.S. AIRCRAFT CARRIERS.. 1000'S OF TIMES THEIR MASS,,,
Your so called postulation would only be correct if the mass of the towers was solid...it was not,
Aircraft carriers also carry fuel and munitions so if the kamikaze attack can get sufficient fires going then the ship will destroy itself.
But you said, "Kamikaze pilots sank U.S. AIRCRAFT CARRIERS" plural. I can only find one carrier sunk by Kamikazes, the St. LO. Tell us of some more. And those planes were designed to be explosive, normal airliners are not. Are you saying the towers SANK?
People who have chosen to believe nonsense can certainly come up with weird rationalizations. The Physics Profession can't even demand accurate data on the distributions of steel and concrete in the towers in TEN YEARS.
