When people look back on one of the golden ages of basketball, you hear the same cliche names rattled off... Well, I'm going to make two lists. A list of players who are remembered correctly, and a list of players who are often forgotten or downplayed when it comes to NBA History during the mid-1980's to the mid/late 1990's...

The Remembered to the proper degree they were good:
Magic Johnson
Michael Jordan
Larry Bird
Charles Barkley
Karl Malone
Shaquille O'Neal
Julius Erving
Patrick Ewing
Scottie Pippen

The downplayed or forgotten who don't get the credit they deserve
Isaiah Thomas
Dominique Wilkins
Moses Malone
Hakeem Olajuown
Tim Hardaway
Alonzo Mourning
David Robinson
John Stockton
Clyde Drexler
Gary Payton

What do you guys think. Any you'd add? Any you'd switch?

I was wondering if Mourning would be on your list. He was good.

I think Isaiah gets his proper credit. I think Joe Dumars was over rated. Good. Definitely good. But I never saw him as a hall of fame type.

What about Rodman?

Gary Payton and malone went to play with shaq and Kobe. Reminds me of this year all the old farts went to play with lebron and again it’s not working out.

I hate to say it but Isaiah was way overrated.

If Bill Walton was to see your list, he would be very upset
that you didn't mention him. Of course, it would be his inflated ego talking.

The whacko John Stockton got plenty of credit as a player.
