So someone tells you a number, and then you just decide it's wrong. That's what's called "fake news".
1) only 47% strongly agree.
Somewhat agree could be "sometimes they do this"
2) The "mainstream media" could include Fox News.
So, if you think CNN HAS NOT done this, but FOX NEWS HAS, you say one of the two first ones. And then people like you will interpret this as CNN does this.
3) It doesn't say what percentage people think TRUMP has done this.
4) It's a poll of 1,024 people. Don't the right say such things are bullshit and polls are wrong whenever it disagrees with what you want?
5) "Republicans (94% agree/6% agree) were almost twice as likely to agree compared to Democrats (51% agree/49% disagree) with the media's role in dividing voters and spreading hate."
Hardly surprising really, is it?
This is partisan politics at its worst.
"White (76% agree/24% disagree) and Hispanic (64% agree/36% disagree) voters were more likely to agree that the mainstream media plays a part in spreading hate and misunderstanding, while black voters were most likely to disagree (54% agree/46% disagree)."
Again, partisan politics.
"Not surprisingly, the groups who are ardent Trump supporters, and who are among unique swing voter groups that the Zogby poll tracks-frequent Amazon shoppers (79% agree/22% disagree), frequent Walmart shoppers (79% agree/21% disagree) and NASCAR fans (77% agree/23% disagree)-were some of the groups who felt strongest about the media's role spreading hate and misunderstanding."
Not surprising either.
