The problem is, nothing is a disaster "for Trump". He can't be elected again. So, he can't lose another Presidential election. So, he could literally get everyone hating him, as long as the Republicans don't impeach him, he's okay (for the next 1 year 9 months).

Maybe he'll lose the House and the Senate. Unlikely to lose the senate, the Republicans have a +3 there.

So, chances are, they'll retain the Senate.
