"The american dream" is a meaningless phrase anymore. I really cannot figure people out. I just bought a house I will be moving into this weekend. The prior owner was a single woman. She literally did nothing to the house other than make the payments. When her refusal to do maintenance started causing problems, she just found a new house, packed up, and walked away from this house even though she had paid the mortgage almost half off and I got it for even less because it sat on the market a whopping 3 months so the bank decided to auction it. I replaced the roof and put in a new AC/heat system, have done some landscaping, tree work, painting and the like and I am still getting 50% free equity. People just treat everything as disposable, including houses and other people. Kind of sad really.

Okay. That makes more sense. Thanks. I think part of it is the democratic party's version of liberalism of late, but there is all corporatist policies on the right that I find equally implicit, and then there is the ACLU which has passed the point to where it is now doing more harm than good for society.

Total health care in the US is less than 20% or GDP and of that, the administyratiove overhead is about 6-7% which means the evil corporations combined split less that $240B. The rest of the "7 facts" are largely rhetoric. The reason people as a whole are having trouble making their ends meet is because of the insane standard of living that has morphed the 'American Dream" from being solid with a house to having more junk than the Joneses and the Smiths combined.

What was yours? You blame obamacare for something that was happening well before you knew who Obama was. Repeal the PPACA today and healthcare will have no less a percentage of GDP next year than it would with the PPACA.
