I recall back in the early 90s the Fed's put the thumbscrews to Alaska over our refusal to criminalize pot. They threatened to take our federal funding away and the state had no choice but to fold. It remained "illegal" until the state voted on it again a couple years back and decriminalized it again.

Same thing happened in Louisiana but with the legal drinking age.
The fed threatened to with hold highway funds if they didnt raise the drinking age.
Louisiana caved.

What these idiot mayors and such don't realize is, they can all be indicted for any number of crimes against federal law, up to and including treason. So not only will their federal money be cut off, they'll be bleeding millions in legal fees in a battle they can't win. Chicago, Seattle, SanFranqueerco and the like will soon begin to look like Cuba.

Then the demands that they not pay that portion of their federal tax will be met and those living in the affected cities will be given a deduction based on their residence.
