The Peel Commission reported in 1937 that the “shortfall of land is, we consider, due less to the amount of land acquired by Jews than to the increase in the Arab population.”

A natural population growth of a few percent per year will double the population in 20 years. Remember the rule of 7.

Prior to 1948 most of the settlers were imported from Europe. After 1948 many come from other areas.

Prior to 1948 Jews were majority in Jerusalem. Arab hoards invading from other lands because Jews came and brought jobs with them doesn't make them "natives" of the land.

I think I will go with Winston Churchill who said that the Arabs came in huge numbers from poor surrounding countries when the Jews had jobs for them. He had no reason to lie, and he probably got his information from the British officials in the area who saw what was happening.
