The Pew survey found that 63% of voters describe both Biden and Trump as embarrassing. Only about a quarter (24%) of voters said they consider Biden “mentally sharp” — down from 53% in 2021 — while 58% said they would describe Trump that way.

Some people are more concerned with winning than embarrassment. And I believe that most people on either side firmly believe that what is good for their party is better for the country than the other guy and his party. It is a reflection of the deep political polarization we have these days. Character and fitness to serve are minor concerns.
