According to the Gun Violence Archive, which defines a mass shooting as an incident in which four or more people are injured or killed, there have been 560 mass shootings in the US this year. Their figure includes shootings that happen in homes and in public places.
The mass shooting on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas where 3 people were killed and several others injured is the latest episode. (December 6, 2023) When are we going to listen to Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens and abolish the 2nd Amendment? If this Amendment was abolished there would be far fewer mass shootings. Because there would be far fewer guns floating around.
I wish our politicians were not afraid to follow Justice Stevens ideas.

These almost exclusively happen in places run by people just like you.

Are you always in the habit of punishing the innocent for the actions of the guilty? Or is it just some hormonal thing?

It can't be because you are mad at all the killings. These people who died mean nothing to you. If you had been told that they died in a water skiing accident, would you then want to ban water skis?

But let's use your number of 560 mass shootings.

That means that 560 people this year -- so far -- have picked up a gun and used it to kill.

Do you know what that means?

That means that there were 339.1 million people who did NOT pick up a gun and kill anyone.

Think about that. Take all the time you need.
