Of course someone else could do the same thing with something others might find offensive.
For instance creating a Robert E. Lee stamp to change one of our other bills, and selling them the same way this guy wants to.

Harriet Tubman is already appearing on $20 bills whether Trump officials like it or not

By The Washington Post

Minutes after Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Wednesday that he was delaying the new Harriet Tubman $20 bill until 2028, a New York designer tweeted: “We’ll see about that.”

Dano Wall, 33, has created a 3-D stamp that can be used to superimpose a portrait of Tubman over Andrew Jackson's on $20 bills. Wall said he has sold out of the stamps and is hurrying to produce more.

What does the fat fucking retard have against Harriet Tubman? Oh right, the army of fascist white supremacists who’s votes he relies on. Nvm, carry on.

Altering US currency is a federal offense. You're allowed to put a line on it with a special pen to ensure it's real. Other than that, no. Altering the picture on a 20 dollar bill renders it unable to be reissued because real 20 dollar bills don't have her face on them.

Is it Legal or Illegal to Destroy U.S. Coins and Paper Money?

According to Title 18, Chapter 17 of the U.S. Code, which sets out crimes related to coins and currency, anyone who “alters, defaces, mutilates, impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens” coins can face fines or prison time. The same goes for debasing – that is, decreasing the proportion of precious metals – in gold or silver coins struck or coined at an American mint.

Similarly, anyone who “mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued,” can be fined or imprisoned as well.

Two things....

1. It’s illegal to deface US Currency. Sufficiently defaced money actually loses its legal value.

2. Anyone who hands me a $20 bill that doesn’t have Andrew Jackson’s face on it will have it handed back to them with a demand for legitimate US Currency. Even if that bill was printed by the US Treasury Departmebt.

Pretty sure nobody will be arrested for putting a Harriet Tubman stamp on their $20 bill.

I'll refuse one. It's still illegal.

Left loons are certifiable nuts. Fact

The POS wanted to put her on the $2 bill
I think Italians need a Columbus stamp. We can all stamp everything. The Southerners can get their stamps. Everyone. Stampapalooza!

Tubman was supposed to appear on the $20 next year. Now it's scheduled for 2028. By then paper money will be nearly nonexistent compared to now.

How many people have been prosecuted for putting the "Where's George?" stamp on a bill? Be honest.
