The police found 27 illegal aliens crammed into one bedroom of a small Phoenix drop house the rescued is not unusual and not even shocking. Most of the time the illegal aliens are whipped, beaten, starved and maimed if their relatives don't pay their ransom in a timely fashion.
A human trafficker was arrested along with 27 illegal aliens being held for ransom by a human smuggler. They are all in custody of Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) waiting for processing and deportation.
All the illegal aliens were from Mexico except for one who was from Guatemala. Only one of the illegal aliens was a woman. They were all crammed into one tiny bedroom in a house in west Phoenix. The bedroom had been boarded up so the illegal aliens couldnt escape.
"We got an out-of-state tip," Bart Graves from DPS said, who said that the relatives were "being extorted for money."
Thanks to ICE, the Phoenix Police Department and the Arizona Department of Public Safety our streets are a little bit safer tonight.
